Food Review: Ice Edge Cafe

I've been hearing about Ice Edge Cafe for quite some time now,
so when le bff Bimb had this on her request list, it was an easy yes.
Actually, since when did I ever reject food? ;p

 2 Kovan Rd, Simon Plaza
#01-10
Singapore 548008
Opening hours: 12 pm to 2 am daily

It is a five minute walk away from Kovan MRT, Exit B.
Follow the path after the bus stop, and turn left.
You will see another popular cafe (Lola's) on your way too.
That's another one I want to try :D

Bimb's Pesto Cream Chicken.
with wedges and salad, and a drizzle of nacho cheese

Cordon Bleu, mine!
with pasta and salad, and nacho cheese.

On the outside, it seemed like an ordinary chicken cutlet.
When it is sliced open, a smooosh of nacho cheese and bacon bits oozes out!
Perfect for cheese lovers like me. Plus there's BACON.

Super filling too, needless to say.

Ice Edge's star of the show: Waffle and Gelato!

Main highlight, and the only reason we will run all the way to Kovan for lunch/dinner.
The waffle is one of the best I've eaten!
It reminded us of the waffles from Geláre of the past.
Crispy and fluffy at the same time.

The gelato is also rich, but not too sweet, with a dense texture.
There is a super wide selection of flavours available, another plus point.

On the overall, Ice Edge Cafe is definitely worth the visit, even if its only for the waffle.
Service was quite prompt, even though the place was crowded for a weekday night.
They used a press button for service system, so I guess that's easier too.

Prices are pocket friendly, with some dishes available for lunch/dinner set meals.
I wish they didn't limit the set meals to the types of dishes though, as I had hoped to try the soup.

with le bff Shirlee. :D
cause i know you'll read this LOL.
