Food Review: Standing Sushi Bar

First date of the year - me and Pok were craving for Japanese food, so yay time to visit Standing Sushi Bar!
Ever since reading about their special promotions, I've been wanting to go.
Ehhhh 5 slices of salmon sashimi for only $3, why not!
Eat until siao also can omg slurps.

Itatakimasu~!

We had some self control and only ordered 5 sets of salmon sashimi. Only 5 ;p
I love that their salmon slices are not too thick or too thin, just right that it melts in your mouth.
Recently went to a buffet place where one serving of my salmon was cut wrongly - felt so stiff and frozen :x

All Salmon All the Time - $16.90
One of their specialty maki rolls.
It has avocado, raw salmon and cucumber within, topped with torched aburi salmon and ebiko.
Love the texture of the crunchy, smooth, and torched flavour combined together. :D

Reminds me of The Sushi Bar's aburi roll, om nom nom.
Except that this one has slightly thicker slices, making it hard for even my big mouth to chew.

Yakiniku Don - $20
Thinly sliced beef yakiniku, onions and toasted sesame on a bed of mixed grain rice, topped with an onsen egg.
Obviously I didn't try this one but pok says it was alright.

Alright means gg he wont order this anymore liao HAHAH.
Guess it didn't impress him enough

Teriyaki Chicken Don - $16
*Extra Onsen Egg - Add $1.50
Served together with a side of thinly sliced cabbage salad with sesame sauce - the kind Bimb loves to spam hahahaha.

Chicken was niceeee, well marinated too.
But the mixed grain rice however, was sticky and not very hot.. so meh.

After finishing all the above I decided I needed another serving of salmon sashimi so I did.
Wahahahah like a free flow only!

Went for a stroll around the Marina Bay Promontory - its quite shiok at night, when the cool wind blows.
And you just finished an awesome meal, sit down by the riverfront,
then suddenly you fall into the Singapore River cause you fell asleep. HAHAH

Okay no la we didn't fall in, just sat there and talked.
Sometimes its still quite surreal and awesome that my first bf is someone who knows me so well, and even after so long its like we're still in our honeymoon period.

Heng I never quit Maplestory LOLOL.
